During a Wednesday campaign event, former President Donald Trump gave a strong response to Iran’s targeting of him, vowing that the terrorist nation would be “blown to smithereens” if it continued to issue threats.
This was posted on the Ayatollah’s website. I guess we should expect nothing less from a terrorist regime. My father had Iran almost bankrupt… then the Biden/Harris administration game them billions making the world a far more dangerous place. Enough! pic.twitter.com/THucg4ASID

After being briefed by the Biden-Harris administration’s national security officials about the supposed Iranian plot to assassinate him, Trump delivered a fiery “peace through strength” speech to attendees of a campaign event in North Carolina.
His vow to blow Iran “to smithereens” was not just a promise for his second term — it was actually a veiled condemnation of the pro-Iran Biden-Harris administration, as he pointed out that the only correct response from an American president is to vow lethal retaliation against any country that threatens an American citizen.
“If I were the president, I would inform the threatening country, in this case, Iran, that if you do anything to harm this person, we are going to blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens,” Trump said. “We’re going to blow it to smithereens. You can’t do that. And there would be no more threats. There would be no more threats.”
Trump also took the time to thank congressional Republicans and Democrats for coming together to unanimously pass a bill that strengthened Secret Service protection for presidential candidates as part of an effort to prevent future assassination attempts.
He then condemned the Biden-Harris administration for their objectively weak response to Iranian threats and took issue with them providing strong security protections to the Iranian president on U.S. soil this week while the country is threatening American citizens.
“Meanwhile, we have the president of Iran in our country this week, we have large security forces guarding him, and yet they are threatening our former president and the leading candidate to become the next president of the United States — certainly a strange set of circumstances,” Trump said. “Around the world, our enemies are desperate to prevent Donald Trump from returning to the White House, because they know I will make America great again. They don’t want that. Four years ago, our country was feared and respected, and our country will soon be feared and respected again.”
He also issued a strong statement about his own response to the threats.
“No threat will shake me, no enemy will intimidate me, and I have never been more determined than I am today, and I will never back down in my fight to make America great again, which is what we’re doing,” Trump explained. “So I want to make that statement because we are under threat. I have been threatened very directly, and I appreciate the agencies that we’ve been meeting with, but we’ve been threatened very directly by Iran, and I think you have to let them know, because the best way to do it is through the Office of the President that if you do any attacks on former presidents or candidates for president, your country gets blown to smithereens.”
Excellent remarks from Trump about Iran trying to kill him: "No threat will shake me, no enemy will intimidate me, and I have never been more determined than I am today, and I will never back down"
