U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken an illegal alien contract killer into custody after the Biden-Harris administration released him into the country.
On May 16, the Biden-Harris administration released 38-year-old Gianfranco Torres-Navarro into the U.S. interior after he was caught illegally crossing the southern border into Texas.
Torres-Navarro, a Peruvian gang leader and reported contract killer, is accused of murdering 23 people in Peru before fleeing to the United States, with his last acts in the South American country including murdering a retired police officer and a city official earlier this year.
ICE announced on Thursday evening that they had apprehended Torres-Navarro in Endicott, which is roughly 150 miles northwest of New York City. The arrest came after Peru sought international help to track down and capture the contract killer, as well as another key player in his criminal enterprise, Mishelle Sol Ivanna Ortíz Ubillús, who was also taken into custody. According to Peruvian law enforcement officials, Torres-Navarro was the head of a criminal organization that calls itself “Los Killers” and specializes in extorting construction companies and contract killings.
A press release from ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Buffalo Field Office Director Thomas P. Brophy celebrated the arrest, noting the danger that Torres-Navarro posed to the community.
“Gianfranco Torres-Navarro poses a significant threat to our communities, and we won’t allow New York to be a safe haven for dangerous noncitizens,” the press release read. “Well done by our ERO Buffalo officers who brought this individual into custody.”

Meanwhile, border security advocates slammed President Joe Biden and border czar Vice President Kamala Harris for releasing Torres-Navarro into the country, where he posed a serious danger to American citizens.
“It should alarm every American that a Peruvian gang leader, who has murdered 23 people, crossed our border and was released into the country,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) wrote in a post on X. “The Biden-Harris Administration’s open border policies are terrorizing our communities.”
