During a Friday episode of liberal comedian Bill Maher’s show, a prominent leftist author demanded that President Joe Biden “dissolve the Supreme Court.”
As Democrats continue to call former President Donald Trump a threat to democracy, it is no surprise that they are the ones threatening to destroy the parts of the American Republic that prevent them from exercising unchecked power — as the left is well-known for accusing their opponents of what they are actually doing.
Leftist author Fran Lebowitz appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, where she attacked the U.S. Supreme Court for daring to uphold the U.S. Constitution — claiming that it is wrong that the majority of justices are constitutional originalists.
“It’s so disgraceful, this court, that it shouldn’t even be allowed to be called the Supreme Court,” the radical leftist fumed. “It isn’t. It’s an insult to Motown to call it the Supreme Court. It’s not even a court.”
Lebowitz then pushed the left’s false claims that the Supreme Court ruled that U.S. presidents can act as kings and are not required to obey the law — which is an outright lie. The ruling that she is referring to simply stated that a president’s actual constitutional duties are immune from criminal prosecution, while there is a process by which a president can be criminally prosecuted for other official acts. For example, even though former President Barack Obama murdered a 16-year-old American citizen in a drone strike in Yemen, he would have to first be impeached in the House and convicted in the Senate before he could be criminally charged in court.
However, Democrats have refused to acknowledge the truth about the Supreme Court’s ruling, and have instead spread the lie that the high court granted presidents the power of kings.
Lebowitz falsely claimed: “When they passed that law, that ruling, where they said, ‘You’re not the president, there’s a king,’ which is what that ruling is, you can do whatever you want, you can never be held responsible, I thought, ‘You know, Biden is still the president. No one seems to notice.’”
She then advocated for the end of the Supreme Court, stating: “But I think Biden should dissolve the Supreme Court.”
Even Maher thought she was going too far, responding: “Dissolve the Supreme Court? Come on.”
Lebowitz replied: “I’m the president, I’m the king now, like you said, and go home!”
