The Biden-Harris regime is opening illegal immigrant detention facilities to 100% in the wake of the massive, self-inflicted crisis building at the border. This is all happening while Biden continues to criticize states like Texas & Mississippi that are similarly authorizing businesses and schools to open to 100% occupancy, calling it “Neanderthal thinking”. All while apprehensions by the Customs and Border Patrol continue to spike.
Within a 12-hour period, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol Horse Patrol Unit apprehended 125 individuals in 3 different human smuggling attempts.

According to DailyWire’s Ryan Saavedra,
“The move, which was reportedly approved by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), scraps the previous guidance that dictated the detention facilities could only be occupied at 50% to practice social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic.”
“We recognize the challenge of having these unaccompanied children come across the border and the influx that we’re certainly preparing for and, and preparing to approach,” said White House press secretary Jen Psaki Friday.
“Additional shelter capacity will minimize the likelihood that children remain in Border Patrol stations longer than necessary, where they are also exposed to COVID-19 transmission risks as well as child welfare concerns associated with such settings. Overcapacity at Border Stations poses a greater infection risk to children than [Office of Refugee Resettlement] program sites that may operate at full licensed capacity with comprehensive COVID-19 mitigation measures in place,” the memo says.
Biden Seeking to Rename Detention Centers
In an even more nefarious twist, the Democratic-Socialists are seeking to accomplish what totalitarian regimes have done for over a century, changing names to hide intents. The Biden-Harris regime is seeking to ‘soften’ the name of immigration detention centers or holding facilities to “reception centers”.
After all, it’s very difficult to accept the bold-faced hypocrisy of Democrats’ years of demonizing President Trump for housing unaccompanied minors in these facilities, while they do so themselves and in far greater numbers. And all due to the rush of illegal immigrants flooding the border in response to Biden’s 100-day Moratorium on deportation.
According to the Washington Examiner,
“Biden officials are considering naming the facilities “reception centers,” according to three people familiar with the discussions, on the logic that the name sounds less harsh.
The name would distinguish the facilities, one of which has been set up in Carrizo Springs, Texas, from existing structures maintained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement. Images of one such Border Patrol facility led to criticism that President Donald Trump held children in “cages.” Often, other such buildings are called “detention centers” or “holding facilities.”
A Border Problem That They Created
All of this could have, and should have been avoided. Had the incoming administration simply allowed the existing Executive Orders and Republican legislation continue while gradually modifying them even, (it’s too much to hope that they would see the light so to speak). This massive surge of illegal migrants seeking refuge that Biden clearly advertised wouldn’t have occurred.
Border officials are bracing for 117,000 children who will arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border without a parent or guardian in 2021, according to a White House domestic policy council document, Axios reported.
That’s almost double the 68,000 taken into custody during the 2014 surge of unaccompanied or coyote smuggled children and the 80,000 who arrived during the 2019 humanitarian crisis at the border.
