The Governors of Texas and Mississippi, Greg Abbott and Tate Reeves respectively brought a long overdue ending to their States’ mask mandates and other restrictions. And the Democrats are freaking out about it. Its truly beautiful to watch the full, public leftist meltdown and the salt flows.
Governor Reeves told a press conference,
“Today, I signed what I expect will be on e of my last executive orders regarding COVID019. Our hospitalizations have plummeted, and our case numbers have fallen dramatically as well. In fact, our case numbers have fallen to the point where no country meets the original criteria for a mask mandate.”
Starting tomorrow, we are lifting all of our county mask mandates and businesses will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules. Our hospitalizations and case numbers have plummeted, and the vaccine is being rapidly distributed. It is time!

Governor Abbott of Texas tweeted,
“Today’s announcement doesn’t abandon safe practices that Texans have mastered over the past year. Instead, it’s a reminder that each person has a role to play in their own personal safety & the safety of others.
With this executive order, we are ensuring that all businesses and families in Texas have the freedom to determine their own destiny.”

Biden-Harris Regime’s Ridiculous Response-Abbott & Reeves Defiant
Biden’s Whitehouse was completely caught off-guard by Texas and Mississippi unilaterally rebuking their “recommendations” and shaking off the nonsensical mask mandates and restrictions which Governor Reeves clearly explained were now moot “Our hospitalizations have plummeted, and our case numbers have fallen dramatically as well. In fact, our case numbers have fallen to the point where no country meets the original criteria for a mask mandate.” As no county in Mississippi met the original mandate the order expired, period.
Instead of celebrating the decline of the virus in these states and seeking to model other worse afflicted areas on Texas and Mississippi’s success, Biden lashed out angrily calling the Governors’ decisions “Neanderthal thinking” and in the process incensing conservatives all over the country.
“I think it’s a big mistake. I hope everyone has realized right now these masks make a difference,” Biden said of the decision to lift mask mandates and other Covid mitigation measures. “We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because of the way in which we are able to get vaccines in people’s arms. We’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough for every American, for every adult American to get a shot.
And the last thing, the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in the mean time everything is fine, take off your mask. Forget it.”
Blowback on the Biden-Harris Regime was Pretty Immediate
Biden’s angry outburst was foolhardy and has exposed his totalitarian government for wanting one thing only: control. Governor Reeves took to twitter. The Governor refuted the Biden admin and leftist echo chamber’s “concerns” by the numbers, coherently and cogently.
President Biden said allowing Mississippians to decide how to protect themselves is “neanderthal thinking.”
Mississippians don’t need handlers. As numbers drop, they can assess their choices and listen to experts. I guess I just think we should trust Americans, not insult them.

Governor Abbott also defended his similar decision dropping some Texas common-sense on twitter,

In spite of simple, logical explanations that are supported by the facts and numbers, both Governors have faced a whirlwind of opposition. The vast majority of which originates well outside their states’ borders.
#VoteHimOut trended Wednesday in reference to Abbott who enjoys almost unassailable popularity among Texans with an impressive 46% approval rate in February according to UT’s Texas politics polls. While this is down 10% from his April high mark, it is average for his overall term. A recent Mason-Dixon Mississippi poll showed Gov. Tate Reeves with a staggering 56% approval rating, with Joe Biden at an abysmal 35%. It would seem that these states support their governors and not their co-opted Federal Government.
