The bodies of three teenagers were found in a possible murder suicide in a rural house just outside of Houston. Authorities are scrambling to determine just what had went down here…
These three teenagers were found dead at a home on a Tuesday afternoon last month in what is being called a possible double-murder and suicide, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
That was one of the main reasons why investigators were on the scene in the 4500 block of Wolcik Street in the Crosby area of Harris County, which is just outside of Houston.
The victims were two females and one male, and all of them showed “signs of trauma”, according to Gonzalez.
Authorities are trying to establish a motive for the tragedy, but that is still unknown as well.
Ultimately, investigators would announce that they had found a gun at the scene, and they believe that was what was used in the incident. However, the sheriff declined to describe the nature of the injuries. He only identified the dead as two females, both possibly aged 17, and a boy who appeared to be 15. Officials did not say who they believed had killed whom.
This incident happened in Crosby, which is just a half-hour drive from Houston.
According to the sheriff, there was a family member who lives directly across from the house who was trying to locate someone, and so they arrived at the home but they did not get a response. After they gained entry to the residence, that is when they discovered the bodies.
A few individuals had possibly seen the teenagers the night before, according to the sheriff. Authorities are declining to elaborate on whether the gun they found at the scene was a handgun or a long gun. The sheriff is declining to detail the nature of the injuries that the teens had sustained. This double murder-suicide remains under investigation.
“We don’t know the full connection at this point,” the sheriff said, after being asked if any of the two had been dating partners. The sheriff said that him and his colleagues think that two of the teens could be related and the third one was probably a friend or acquaintance. He couldn’t confirm that completely, however, and he was working to get more information before they could fully understand the dynamics. The homeowner had been traveling, and so he was not in a position to name the teenagers.
“I think once we put the pieces together, motive is always something that tends to reveal itself at some point, and sometimes, it makes no sense,” he added. “These are all senseless at the end of the day when you’re talking about the loss of life of young people. It’s tragic.”
The deaths were shocking to the neighbors, and many of them said that it was out of character for their area.
“It’s really surprising to see something like this happen out here to one of us,” neighbor David Givans said, according to KHOU. “It’s a close community for the most part. We all watch out for each other.”
Another neighbor was identified as Big Rob and told the local news outlet that he had lived near the area for seven years, and he spoke well of the people who lived at the home.
“They’re very nice people as far as I know,” he said. “I wouldn’t think anything like this would happen.”
This possible murder suicide is very shocking indeed.
