Americans Overwhelmingly Call For Immediate…

The majority of Americans support quickly increasing domestic energy production instead of increasing imports. The new poll, carried out by the Consumer Energy Alliance, discovered that 60 percent of Americans believe that the method to lower energy costs is to produce even more here.

Support for increasing production in the United States was relatively high throughout the political spectrum, with support coming in from 77 percent of Republicans, 63 percent of independents, and 40 percent of Democrats.

Increased manufacturing locally has support from 58 percent of ladies as well as 62 percent of men.

When considering the geography of the respondents, 52 percent of urban citizens think that the White House’s actions are to reduce gas costs are insufficient, while 63 percent of suburban as well as 73 percent of country voters said the exact same.

Just eight percent of those surveyed said that they believe America ought to ask foreign nations to produce more oil.

“These results demonstrate that the solution to high gas prices is obvious to the majority of Americans – produce more domestic energy including unleashing oil and gas,” CEA President David Holt said, according to a report from Business Wire. “Overwhelmingly, Americans of all political stripes and demographics support more American energy production, and they all agree that the White House is not doing enough to bring prices down.

“The obvious solution is usually the best one, especially when it can create American jobs, help protect the global environment, and bring energy prices back down to affordable levels. We urge the White House to stop looking for irresponsible options in all the wrong places like Venezuela and Iran when the easy, obvious choice is to produce energy in America for Americans.”

An 86 percent majority of those questioned said that their lives are being impacted by high gas prices, as well as 71 percent said that they have had to alter their day-to-day routines as a result of it.

The participants likewise identified inflation as the most pressing issue on their minds. Going into the 2022 midterms, this could be disastrous for Democrats.

The survey was performed from March 19th to March 21st with 1,043 likely nationwide voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.09% with a 95% confidence interval.
