High on Cocaine

High on Cocaine, Man Drives around Town With BBQ Grill Ablaze in Back of Truck

Just say no to drugs, kids, because you apparently can get yourself into a lot of dangerous situations when you are high on cocaine or other dangerous substances.

Unfortunately, drug abuse seems to abound in these urban areas, and the precincts within Harris County in the suburban areas of Houston are no exception. However, there are law enforcement agencies that are dedicated to maintaining peace and order and the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is one such example.

“The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is the largest Constable’s Office in the United States and proudly serves the citizens of north Harris County, TX as a full-service law enforcement agency,” the office wrote on Facebook.

According to Harris County Precinct Four Constable Mark Herman, on January 5th deputies responded to a call regarding a truck on fire in the 21400 block of Aldine Westfield Road. That is when they discovered one extremely bizarre situation indeed.

When deputies arrived, they discovered Jay Rojas, 41, who was driving around with a lit barbecue pit in the bed of his truck, creating a large fire.

The officers immediately told him that they were responding to reports about a bizarre situation that was happening at that 21400 block of Aldine Westfield Road in that Houston suburb of Humble.

It took maybe ten seconds tops before the officers discovered just what the commotion had been all about. Apparently, the man’s barbecue pit wasn’t even standing right-side up in the bed of his truck, but it was laying in the back, hence the reason why the man’s truck was now catching on fire…..EGAD.

“The driver was identified as Jay Rojas who displayed signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and it was discovered that he was intoxicated,” the office reported.

After further investigation, that is when the officers discovered that the man was not only high on cocaine, but also had more in his possession. Thus, Rojas is currently being held at the Harris County Jail, and the bond and court information “has not been set at this time.”
