Donald Trump Jr. is usually attached to his father’s hip at rallies, but not this time.
Trump Jr. has taken on a more significant role in his father’s campaign, to the point that rumors are that Jr. insisted on J.D. Vance being named VP.
He recently opened up about the angst he experienced right after his father was shot.
Longest 90 Minutes
According to Trump Jr., it took him about 90 minutes to get ahold of his father after the shots were fired.
At that time, all he knew was what we all saw on TV: blood running down his father’s face and Trump being rushed off to the hospital for treatment.
Trump Jr. recently described those moments, stating, “It took me an hour and a half to basically even know that he was alive. I got a call saying that he was shot, that they had no other information and I couldn’t get through.
“I guess they shut down all the cell phones, all of that.
“Well, so in that amount of time, I’m trying to scour the internet.
“I’m trying to figure out what’s going on.
“I saw the video and, he’s alright. It finally got through. And I just said, hey, man, you’re the biggest badass I’ve ever seen.
“And I met with him, and had a good conversation, you know, very heavy, obviously.”
I cannot imagine what was going through everyone’s mind while they waited for information but thankfully, Donald Trump is okay.
Now we just need the Secret Service to get its act together because Trump was clearly lucky to have escaped that attempt on this life, but there have already been more.
Dems are desperate, and they have been whipping up their base for years, so I highly doubt that will be the last attempt on Trump’s life.
