Dirtbags Dance and Stomp on Tomb of Unknown Soldier [Video]

In one of the few negative moments of the “Freedom Convoy” protest, a protester was seen dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa, Canada.

Video emerged from the event showing an individual climbing up onto the cenotaph at the National War Memorial, and dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the “Freedom Convoy” protest in downtown Ottowa.

The individual can be heard yelling “freedom,” as they raise their hands into the air. The incident was caught on camera while thousands of people gathered in the area to protest vaccine mandates and other authoritarian restrictions imposed on the people of Canada.

Speaking with CTV News, Ottawa police said that the incident at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was under investigation, and also noted that barricades were being put up to prevent further disturbances.

“National monuments will be protected and should be respected by all. Barricades are installed to block any vehicular access to the path in front of the National War Memorial,” police said.

Of course, most of mainstream media, politicians, and the left used the actions of this protester and the people around them to vilify the “Freedom Convoy” protest as a whole.

“I am sickened to see protesters dance on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and desecrate the National War Memorial,” said Gen. Wayne Eyre in a tweet responding to the incident. “Generations of Canadians have fought and died for our rights, including free speech, but not this. Those involved should hang their heads in shame.”

Minister of Defence Anita Anand also spoke out about the actions of the protester.

“The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and National War Memorial are sacred sites for our country. I urge all Canadians to treat them with solemnity, out of respect for those who have fought and died for Canada. The behaviour we’re seeing today is beyond reprehensible,” said Anand on Twitter.
