Yet another illegal alien has been arrested for killing an American citizen, this time for running over a grandmother with her own vehicle during a carjacking.
Jose Aguilar-Martinez, a 21-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was arrested approximately 45 minutes after murdering the woman. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer request on the criminal illegal alien, demanding that local law enforcement turn him over to ICE agents.
NEW: In statement to @FoxNews, ICE confirms that the suspect arrested for the fatal carjacking of a grandmother in Virginia on Sunday is an illegal alien from El Salvador who entered the U.S. as a “gotaway” at an unknown time & location. On July 28, Aguilar-Martinez reportedly carjacked Melody Waldecker in broad daylight in Sterling, Virginia. After carjacking the 54-year-old grandmother, he ran her over with her own vehicle. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported that Waldecker was found dead at the scene by police.
This is Melody Waldecker. A mother of 4 and grandmother to 8. She was a caretaker at a nursing home.

The illegal alien is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bail after being charged with felony carjacking, though additional charges are being considered.
While many Democrat-run areas like Virginia have officials that will refuse to honor ICE detainer requests even if the illegal alien is charged with a heinous crime against one of their constituents, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman has consistently supported honoring those detainers. In just the last two years, thanks largely to Chapman, ICE has been able to take custody of and deport nearly 100 illegal aliens apprehended in Loudoun County.
It is currently unclear exactly when Aguilar-Martinez illegally crossed the southern border into the United States, though he has been referred to by federal officials as a “gotaway” — meaning that he successfully avoided being apprehended by Border Patrol.
This news comes as President Joe Biden’s open border policies and Vice President Kamala Harris’ failure as “border czar” have led to at least eight million illegal aliens entering the U.S., which includes roughly 1.7 million who are classified as “gotaways,” though there are likely many more that were never detected.

Many of these illegal aliens were criminals in their home country and continue to commit crimes upon entering the U.S., including murdering American citizens like Melody Waldecker and Laken Riley — a nursing student who was brutally killed by illegal alien Jose Ibarra, who was released into the U.S. by Biden’s Department of Homeland Security because the facility where he was being held lacked the detention space to hold him.
UPDATE: Homeland Security released the illegal immigrant accused of killing Laken Riley into the U.S. because it lacked the detention space.
