Dems Snub Military on Memorial Day Weekend, USS Constitution Has it Covered

As Democrats avoid acknowledging Memorial Day and our fallen soldiers, the USS Constitution is stepping up to give a real tribute.

Conservatives are outraged at the callous way both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris spoke about the “long weekend” for Memorial Day.

Direct quotes about the holiday from the two radical left leaders are being shared on Twitter.

“Stay cool this weekend, folks,” Biden said.

“Enjoy the long weekend,” Harris tweeted.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens called them out for their lack of patriotism on Twitter, writing:

“Today is not about a ‘long weekend’.

Today we honor our fallen soldiers—those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Today we renew our commitment to fight for the principles they gave their lives for & against the cloud of totalitarianism.

May God bless America.”

Representative Kevin McCarthy also scolded Kamala Harris for her statement, writing: “Memorial Day weekend is a time to remember and express our gratitude to the men and women in uniform who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It’s NOT just a long weekend.”

Memorial Day Tribute

While the left continues to despise America, the USS Constitution has decided to honor those who fought and died to protect their right to do so.

In honor of Memorial Day, the USS Constitution will fire a 21-gun salute. Starting at noon on Monday, May 31, gun salutes will be fired once every minute for 21 minutes.

According to reporting by WHDH, “The United States flag will fly at half-staff in the morning and will be raised to full height following the gun salute, a custom honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the morning and living veterans for the rest of the day.”

Gold Star families, along with Sailors and Marines who made the ultimate sacrifice serving aboard the USS Constitution, will be honored in a special presentation at 11:30 a.m.

“The USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned warship afloat and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855,” WHDH reported.
