On June 16th Joe Biden made brief remarks to the press at the Hôtel du Parc des Eaux-Vives in Geneva, Switzerland following his less-than-auspicious meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. While most of the media hung up on his giving a list of “16 specific entities” of “critical infrastructure (that) should be off-limits to attack” or his startlingly incoherent blow-up at CNN where he told them “If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business.” It was a rather interesting shell game which kept us all off of the one most astonishing and disturbing sentence that few seemed to notice him say, according to the White House transcript:
“I told him (Putin) that, unlike other countries, including Russia, we’re uniquely a product of an idea. You’ve heard me say this before, again and again, but I’m going to keep saying it. What’s that idea? “
“We don’t derive our rights from the government; we possess them because we’re born — period. And we yield them to a government. “
Joseph R. Biden Jr., representing America to the world, said that we, as a people “YIELD our RIGHTS to a GOVERNMENT.” He told the President of RUSSIA, that Americans YIELD our rights to our Government.
Let. That. Sink. In. Biden Really Did Say That.
The White House in the six days since hasn’t even printed a correction or a clarification, so he really must’ve meant that. To give a little context to the event The Gateway Pundit wrote, “Joe made the comments during his press briefing where he screamed at some woman and took time out to lay his jacket on the ground.” This lends a bit of credence to the concept that Joe is unhinged, detached from reality, and gradually losing his sanity to dementia.
John Brodigan writing for LouderWithCrowder had another interesting explanation for Biden’s apparent reversal of over two hundred years of American values.
“Here’s what I think happened. Because I’ve noticed Joe Biden trying to quote our Declaration of Independence a lot recently. Failing at it, but trying. He’s fond of pointing out how our rights are endowed to us by our Creator. It was only a matter of time before the people who run Biden told him he’s not allowed to say that any more. If too many Americans remember that their rights don’t come from the government, we might think we’re a free people. Which is bad for business if you’re a radical leftist using Biden to further your agenda.”
Incompetence? Freudian slip? Senility? Or is that what he actually believes? That we truly YIELD our God-given rights to our Government. You decide.
