A wrestler-turned-politician has challenged failed Democrat vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz to a charity match after Walz claimed that he could “kick most of [Trump supporters’] ass.”
Earlier this month, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) appeared on California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) new podcast, where he talked about how “baffled” he was that Republicans don’t think he’s “masculine,” then claimed that they are scared of him and that he could “kick most of their ass.”
“I think I could kick most of their ass!” Walz I do think that … I know I can outrun them. I don’t know if we’re going to fall into that place where we, okay, we challenge you to, you know, a WWE fight here, type of thing.”

Wrestler Glenn Jacobs, also known as “Kane,” responded to Walz’s ridiculous comments in a quick interview with The Daily Wire’s Brent Scher.
“So, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said that he could kick most Trump supporters’ asses,” Jacobs, who is now an influential Tennessee Republican politician, said before bursting into laughter, repeating Walz’s name as he doubled over laughing, then walked away.
This morning I ran into @GlennJacobsTN, aka Kane, and asked him about Tim Walz saying he’d kick any MAGA voter’s ass.

Jacobs later issued a challenge to Walz in a post on X, volunteering to join him in the ring for a charity match, if the Democrat governor actually believes he’s capable of fighting.
“All joking aside, @GovTimWalz, let’s put our money where our mouth is…in a charity wrestling match. We’ll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations. I’ll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say?” Jacobs asked, adding the hashtags: “#TennesseeWalz #LetsDance.”

In yet another post, this time from Jacobs’ X account for his old wrestling persona, Kane, the wrestler wrote: “Everyone is always asking me if I have one last match left. I think I have found my final victim, er, I mean opponent.”

Conservatives immediately jumped onto social media to volunteer themselves to run the event.
Former NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch offered to referee the charity match:
I would totally referee this. https://t.co/3xodfRhwL9

David Cone, co-host of The Daily Wire’s sports podcast, Crain & Company, also offered to referee the match:
Should @CrainCompany referee this match? https://t.co/nG0DilEtAY

Walz has yet to respond to Jacobs’ comments as of the evening of March 21.
