ICYMI: In a bizarre scene that was something out of a movie, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was arrested.
A large group of Rangers raided the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to take him into custody.
Khan was there to seek bail in several FIRs that were placed against him at the time he was nabbed.
Crazy Scene
The warrants against Khan were issued on May 1.
They were issued by NAB chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmad Butt.
After Khan was taken into custody, it was announced that Khan was booked under Section 9A of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
The statement read, “The arrest was ordered and implemented by the NAB.
“Rangers troops were deployed there for the action on the orders of the Ministry of the Interior.”

A formal indictment of Khan is expected to be handed down.
Islamabad’s IG police have confirmed that the arrest took place.
