A Florida woman has now joined a long list of other lottery winners as she just took a huge payday from a $5 Million Dollar Scratch Off Ticket…

The Florida Lottery recently announced that Deantee Ingram, 39, of Holly Hill, Florida, has become the latest winner from the Gold Rush Limited scratch-off game at the district office of this lottery, located in Orlando.

Ingram chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of just over $3.9 million.

Ingram purchased the winning ticket from Medina Bell Grocery located at 600 3rd Street in Holly Hill, Florida.

This is good news for the retailer as well, because they will receive at least $10,000 in bonuses for selling this $5 Million Dollar Scratch Off Ticket.

The lottery also has a $20 scratch-off game called Gold Rush Limited, and it features 32 top prizes of $5 million and over a hundred prizes of one million apiece. This ticket will also be filled with tens of thousands of prizes from $1,000 to $100,000.

Scratch-off games continue to be an important part of the portfolio of games, and they are a tremendous asset to these Florida communities because they generated at least $1.3 billion for the Education Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) from 2020-to 2021.

Interestingly enough, this wasn’t the first time that someone has won big on the Florida lottery. Last April, there was even an individual who won a much bigger payout.

In this case, it was a Land O’ Lakes man who won the lottery prize, and it to the tune of $235.4 million in the Powerball. He chose to receive his winnings in the one-time lump sum payment of $160 million.

Thomas Yi, 23, also became one of the youngest individuals ever to win such a massive amount, doing so in the drawing held in March 2021.

“Even after matching all six numbers, I was in disbelief and took my ticket to a retailer to have it checked,” Yi calmly told the Florida Lottery. “The clerk at the counter instantly became excited and kept repeating that I had won the $235 million POWERBALL jackpot. I knew then that this would be life-changing.”

When Yi was asked what he plans to do next, he shared that despite the money, he was still planning on pursuing higher education in either business or one of the medical fields. Looks like he won’t have to worry about student loans in his future, that is for sure.

Yi purchased his jackpot-winning ticket from Publix, which is located at 16560 North Nebraska Avenue in Lutz, Florida. In this case, the retailer received a commission of $95,000 for selling the winning ticket.
