WI Supreme Court Puts A Stop To Democrat Election Interference

On Monday, the left-leaning Wisconsin state Supreme Court surprisingly stepped in to stop Democrats’ efforts to interfere in the election and stifle democracy, preventing them from removing a Green Party candidate from the ballot.

The so-called “party of democracy” has been trying to prevent Americans from voting for their chosen candidates throughout the 2024 election season, starting with their efforts to remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot in numerous states. Despite failing to remove Trump, this effort has since extended to third-party candidates with the potential to siphon votes away from their undemocratically chosen nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Democrats succeeded in removing independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from the ballot in New York and were poised to do the same in several other states, leading Kennedy to drop out of the race and endorse Trump. They were also trying to remove Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein in several states, including Wisconsin.

Out of all of the third-party candidates, Stein has the highest potential to siphon away votes from Harris, as she is even more radical than the Democrat nominee on many issues including the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The Wisconsin state Supreme Court’s ruling came in response to demands from David Strange, who filed a petition individually and as Deputy Operations Director-Wisconsin for the Democrat National Committee (DNC) to have Stein removed from the ballot.

In the ruling, the court declared that it would not take up the case, arguing that “the petitioner is not entitled to the relief he seeks.”

The Wisconsin Republican Party also intervened in the lawsuit, though they stepped in to support Stein’s inclusion on the ballot.

Stein celebrated the victory in a statement, writing: “This is a big win against the anti-Democratic Party’s war on democracy and voter choice. The Democrats constantly preach about ‘saving democracy,’ when in reality they’ve been doing everything they can to crush democracy by trying to remove the Green Party and others from the ballot.”

“Big win against the anti-Democratic Party’s war on democracy and voter choice! Wisconsin voters still have an anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate action choice this year!” Stein later added in a social media post.

Strange’s failed lawsuit centered on the claim that the Green Party was not eligible to be included on the Wisconsin ballot because there were no candidates from the party for state office and there were no Green Party officeholders in the state to nominate presidential electors.

Stein’s inclusion on the ballot has the potential to influence the outcome of the election in favor of Trump, as twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton previously lost the state to Trump by just 22,748 votes in 2016 after Stein won 31,072 votes. However, studies have shown that a majority of voters would have stayed home if their chosen candidate was not on the ballot, suggesting that Clinton still could have lost even if Stein was not on the ballot.
