Carhartt Boycott Arrives

After an email from Carhartt CEO Mark Valade went viral on social media, conservatives began calling for a boycott of the clothing company.

Carhartt, once seen as a clothing brand for the “rugged” working-class man, has slowly begun appealing to the hipster leftist class. Now, they have taken their pandering too far.

In an email to employees on January 14th, the company has announced that they will be ignoring the Supreme Court’s decision on the Biden administration’s authoritarian vaccine mandate, and implementing medical tyranny on their employees anyway.

Addressed to “Carhartt Associates,” the email states:

“Many of you have asked how the recent Supreme Court decision on the OSHA mandate for large employers will impact our associates so we want to provide some clarity. The ruling does not charge Carhartt’s mandatory vaccination program, which went into effect on January 4th. As you know, we have extended the vaccination deadline for both RCV and Madisonville associates to February 15th. This date also remains in effect.

We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling doesn’t impact that core value. We, and the medical community, continue to believe vaccines are necessary to ensure a safe working environment for every associate and even perhaps their households. While we appreciate that there may be differing views, workplace safety is an area where we and the union that represents our associates cannot compromise. An unvaccinated workforce is both a people and business risk that our company is unwilling to take.

If you have additional questions please send them to [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as possible.”

The email was was signed by Carhartt CEO Mark Valade.

Conservatives sharing the email on social media were shocked by the company’s statements, with many people pointing out the odd times we are living in, where a radical leftist company like Starbucks is doing away with their vaccine mandates, while a company that was once thought to be a working-class conservative company like Carhartt is keeping the mandates.

Others simply decried the medical tyranny being imposed on the company’s employees, vowing to never purchase their products again.

One country artist, Adam Calhoun, even burned his Carhartt products in a YouTube video (Warning — Strong Language):
