Vatican confirms: Pope Francis’ Instagram is Now Under Investigation. It would seem the Pope has been checking out some ‘heavenly bodies’ without the aid of a telescope. News broke today via Complex and Barstool Sports (yes, those are the sources) that the Pontiff’s Instagram account apparently liked racy photos posted by Instagram model Natalia Garibotto.
Wait, Pope Francis did WHAT?!?
According to the Catholic News Agency, the post was un-liked on November 14th. It is unknown when it was initially liked, though Barstool reports it was the morning of November 13th, we can’t be certain. Garibotto’s Twitter follow-up was pretty stunning.

In an interview with Barstool Sports‘ Tommy Smokes Natalia quipped:
“My Mom may hate my ass pics but the Pope be double tapping.” -@Nataagataa

It’s Always A Good Time For A Vatican Scandal.
All of this couldn’t come at a worse possible time for Pope Francis as ‘Cancel culture’ is in full-swing. This year has also seen an uptick in violence against the Catholic Church in France. For a pope whose reign has been marred with controversial attempts to advance a socialist agenda, support of same-sex civil unions this scandal is the last thing he needs. Although it could potentially take away attention from the Holy Father’s ham-fisted overtures to the Muslim community which have smacked of little more than appeasement to violent jihadists.
It remains to be seen what the consequences of the errant “like” maybe or who is directly responsible, dubiously the pontiff himself or a staffer who will undoubtedly be seeking re-employment. A Vatican spokesperson told the Guardian:
“We can exclude that the ‘like’ came from the Holy See, and it has turned to Instagram for explanations,”
When you take all of that into account, this little faux pas may be a welcome diversion from little things like the Democratic Presidential Candidate being indicted on felony charges in Ukraine.. But hey, how about the Pope’s Instagram waifu?
