Deplorable conservatives aren’t surprised to learn that a department of the federal government would be snooping through your social media posts but the last branch you would expect to be doing it is the post office. It turns out that Big Brother Joe Biden is using the United States Postal Service to run a “covert operations” program to collect data on Americans.
Postal service going too far
The United States Postal Service has secretly been spying on American social media.
The classified program was designed to “track and collect Americans’ social media posts – including those about planned protests,” Yahoo news has learned. This is the very first time the public heard anything at all about it.
The secret spy program is being carried out by “the law enforcement arm” of the Postal Service called “iCOP” which is short for “Internet Covert Operations Program.” The project was never intended to be made public.
Quietly and without fuss, the government has been spending taxpayer dollars to pay operatives to “trawl through social media sites” searching for “inflammatory” postings. When they find a good one they share it around. Not just in house but “across government agencies.”
Apparently, they were the ones behind the false alarm which said chatter indicated that Trump would try to seize power back on March 24. Something which never materialized because it was simply a bunch of bull.
The Postal Service spins their false alarm into a positive thing. They pat themselves on the back and take a gold star for monitoring “significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021.”
Drop dead after reading
The iCop unit put out a bulletin dated March 16 and stamped “law enforcement sensitive” and distributed it “throughout the Department of Homeland Security’s fusion centers.” Despite the drop dead after reading security level, it still managed to leak to Yahoo.
“Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts.” The Postal Service is out to get those darn deplorables one way or another. They have good reason after getting their hand caught in the cookie jar helping to rig the 2020 election.
According to the Postal Service undercover troll army, they had all kinds of evidence that “a number of groups were expected to gather in cities around the globe on March 20 as part of a World Wide Rally for Freedom and Democracy’ against pandemic lockdown measures.”
They can’t help it if they were totally wrong.
The Postal Service snoops were terrified because “Parler users have commented about their intent to use the rallies to engage in violence.” They thoughtfully included a screenshot of “two users discussing the event as an opportunity to engage in a ‘fight’ and to ‘do serious damage.'”
They grudgingly admit that no “intelligence is available to suggest the legitimacy of these threats.” But, they’re pushing the panic button anyway.
