University Instructor: Men Who Don’t Vote For Kamala Should Be Shot

A University of Kansas instructor has been placed on leave after a video went viral of him telling his class that men who refuse to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris should be shot.

The instructor, who has not yet been identified, was caught on video declaring that any man who doesn’t vote for a woman should be shot while teaching a class earlier this semester — but the video was not released until Wednesday, when it was posted to X and quickly went viral.

“[If you think] guys are smarter than girls, you’ve got some serious problems,” the instructor said in the video. “That’s what frustrates me. There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president. We could line all those guys up and shoot them. They clearly don’t understand the way the world works.”

“Did I say that? Scratch that from the recording,” the unidentified man added. “I don’t want the deans hearing that I said that.”

The University of Kansas has since confirmed that the instructor, who they refused to name, had been placed on administrative leave “pending further investigation.

“The instructor offers his sincerest apologies and deeply regrets the situation,” Erinn Barcomb-Peterson, the school’s director for news and media relations, told The Daily Wire in a statement sent via email. “His intent was to emphasize his advocacy for women’s rights and equality, and he recognizes he did a very poor job of doing so. The university has an established process for situations like this and will follow that process.”

The video rightfully prompted outrage on social media, leading Kansas lawmakers to demand action be taken against the professor.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) shared the video on X, writing: “Disturbing video from a @UnivOfKansas professor. Anyone saying men who don’t vote for Kamala Harris should be ‘lined up and shot’ is deranged and shouldn’t be around students nor academia. I trust that the @UnivOfKansas will take immediate action and fire this professor.”

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach (R) also responded to the shocking video, writing: “KS Regents: We educate leaders, build communities, and make discoveries that change the world. KU prof: Some males in our society will refuse to vote for a female Prez, because they don’t think females are smart enough to be Prez. We could line all those guys up and shoot them.”
