Vice President Kamala Harris is being called out on social media for sharing an obviously staged photo of herself supposedly working aboard Air Force Two to respond to Hurricane Helene — with critics pointing out that her headphones “aren’t even plugged in” and the paper she is supposedly writing on is blank.
Kamala Harris appears to be deep in thought in the photo — staring at a blank piece of paper with a pen in hand pretending to write, while she is supposedly listening intently to something on a pair of wired headphones hanging from one ear. The only problem? The headphones aren’t plugged in to the phone sitting on the table in front of her, and the cord appears to just be hanging down onto her lap.
The Democrat nominee claimed in her post that she was “just briefed” by FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell “on the latest developments about the ongoing impacts of Hurricane Helene. We also discussed our Administration’s continued actions to support emergency response and recovery.”
Harris then stated that she had spoken with North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) “about the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts in North Carolina.”
Hurricane Helene has devastated several southern states, with The Post Millennial reporting: “North Carolina was brutally battered by Hurricane Helene, which slammed into Florida’s Big Bend before hitting Georgia, the Carolinas, and eastern Tennessee. In and around Asheville, NC, towns were flooded to the point of decimation, debris covers many roadways, and bridges were washed away.”
While Harris pretends to be working but refuses to actually show up for the people of these states, reports indicate that drinking water is in short supply, millions of people are without power, more than 1,000 people are missing, and the death toll continues to rise.
She went on to claim: “Our Administration will continue to stay in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure communities have the support and resources they need. Doug and my thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones and those whose homes, businesses, and communities were damaged or destroyed during this disaster.”

Social media users were quick to respond to the post, with popular X account Libs of TikTok pointing out that Harris is writing on blank paper and her headphones are “not plugged in” — adding: “Everything about Kamala is fake.”

Former President Donald Trump, who spent the day handing out supplies and working with officials to help the struggling communities effected by the disaster, also called out Harris for her “FAKE and STAGED” photo in a post on X.
Trump flew directly to Valdosta to deliver critical supplies to the victims of Helene.

“Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing. You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work! Biden and Harris abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South. Under this Administration, Americans always come last, because we have ‘leaders’ who have no idea how to lead!” he wrote.

“If you’re going to pretend you’re not AWOL as NC is under water, at least put some effort into it,” commentator Greg Price noted in a response to Harris’ post.
