President Donald Trump has issued his “last warning” to Hamas terrorists, stating that “there will be hell to pay” if they do not release the remaining hostages “now, not later.”
The Trump administration is reportedly in direct talks with Hamas behind the scenes, according to Axios. This is the first time that the United States government has ever directly held talks with the terrorist group.
Just before making the remarks in two different social media posts on March 5, Trump held a meeting with a group of hostages who were recently released from Gaza after being held for more than a year by Hamas terrorists, as they were captured during the horrific terrorist attacks on October 7.
“I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say… RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!” Trump wrote in a post on X.

Trump also posted a longer message to Hamas in a fiery Truth Social post.
“‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye — You can choose,” the president wrote. “Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you.”
“Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!” he added. “I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”
Trump went on to cite his meeting with the freed hostages, pointing out that their lives were “destroyed” by Hamas terrorists because of the significant trauma they experienced while in captivity.
“This is your last warning!” the president added. “For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD!”
“Make a SMART decision,” Trump concluded. “RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”
