Tom Brady goes completely bonkers. That’s the headline, and if you actually saw it on video then you know that it is an appropriate headline.
Granted, when you consider the context of the situation and just how fierce a competitor Brady is, you quickly realize that he sort of has a point.
This was supposed to be a special night for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but it was the exact opposite. Although Tom Brady is usually a well-oiled machine, in this case, the Saints threw off his groove. You know that things are not going well when Tom Brady goes completely bonkers on the Saints’ sidelines.
Part of the reason for Brady to go completely bonkers would probably have to be due to the fact that his Tampa Bay Bucs were shut out completely, with the Saints prevailing in a score of 9-0.
That’s right. The Bucs’ defense did their job, but this was one of those extremely rare occasions where the offense came up sputtering. It was the first time that Brady was shut out in a game since 2006 and the first time that he lost a game where the opposing team did not score a single touchdown either. It truly wasn’t one of Brady’s best games, to say the least.
Late in the fourth quarter, Brady’s frustration reached a boiling point when he threw an interception, ran over to the Saints sideline, and began cursing out an assistant coach.
“Sure does look like Tom Brady sprints over to the Saints sideline and yells, ‘Go fuck yourself, pal’,” one person tweeted in response to the incident.
Brady followed this up by destroying a Microsoft Tablet on his own sideline. All I have to say is that I hope that the team trainers with Tampa Bay have good insurance on their equipment if the Bucs don’t do well in the upcoming NFL playoffs!
