Things Turn Deadly at Golden Corral

It was just a typical day at a Golden Corral in Pensacola, Florida, when all of a sudden the U.S. Marshals Task Force swoops in, chasing a man out of the woods and into the plaza parking lot off of West Ninth Street right next to the buffet-style restaurant.

Marshals In Pursuit

Members of the United States Marshals Task Force were in pursuit of a criminal in Pensacola, Florida, on Thursday, November 4th, attempting to serve an ECSO warrant on a suspect who had two outstanding warrants for multiple armed burglaries and multiple felony firearm charges.

The U.S. Marshals eventually spotted him in a wooded area at around 2 p.m., and after a lengthy foot pursuit, the man ran into a parking lot near the Golden Corral on Langley Ave. and 9th Ave.

As the Marshals attempted to approach the suspect, rather than allowing himself to be arrested, he pulled out a gun and shot himself.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No shots were fired by law enforcement.

The suspect has not been identified by police.

According to reporting by WKRG News 5, “The arrest warrant was in relation to a bond being revoked on a gun theft charge in Escambia County.”
