It is because they now see the United States as weak, and I am not just talking about Joe Biden.
The Heritage Foundation, for the first time ever, believes our military is not capable of defending the homeland.
It wrote, “It is rated as weak relative to the force needed to defend national interests on a global stage against actual challenges in the world as it is rather than as we wish it were.”
After being underfunded for decades, it is also suffering from “poorly defined priorities,” “wildly shifting security policies,” “exceedingly poor discipline in program execution” and “a profound lack of seriousness across the national security establishment.”
The only branch rated higher than “marginal” was the Marine Corps.
The Army was rated marginal, the Navy and Space Force weak, and the Air Force as very weak.
When you add in the fact our stockpiles are now almost non-existent because of the aid we have sent to Ukraine, we are ripe for attack.
