The Trump campaign has released a portion of the evidence it is planning to present to a Nevada state court, suggesting the existence of thousands of fraudulently cast ballots.
On Wednesday, the Trump campaign unveiled information that they believe shows enough fraudulent votes to overturn Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s victory in Nevada, which he won by 33,569 votes.
According to officials, the evidence and expert testimony that will be presented in the Carson City court indicates that over 1,500 ballots had been cast by dead voters, a large number of voter registrations were incomplete, 42,248 people voted “multiple times, and many people used places like temporary RV camps and casinos as their home addresses.
Another piece of information being presented by the Trump campaign is polling showing that 1% of Nevada voters shown to have voted never did, and 2% of people who were shown to to have voted by mail had never received a ballot.
Trump’s legal team noted that it has only just begun collecting information, and that cases involving voter fraud can sometimes take months or years to investigate. They also mentioned that they are being stonewalled by the U.S. Postal Service, county officials, and state officials in their efforts to review and investigate votes.
They have been specifically focusing on Clark County, a strong Democratic area, where Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden won by 90,922 votes. They are concerned about the difference in votes from 2016, where Hillary Clinton won the county by only 26,434 votes.
American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp, a leader in the effort to investigate irregularities in the election, made a statement about Clark County. “In my years of experience in politics, I have never seen the amount of illegal voting like we have documented in Clark County, Nevada. It is a level of corruption I didn’t think could happen in a modern, free country,” he said.
Schlapp also added that, from the evidence he had seen, if bad votes were thrown out Trump would have won, stating: “I can’t predict what a judge will do, but any fair-minded American would come to the same conclusion: Trump won Nevada by thousands of votes if illegal ballots are remedied.”
Unlike other states that the Trump campaign and other conservative groups are making claims about, the effort to investigate in Nevada has been given a green light to continue. Schlapp says that the problems found in Nevada likely exist in these other states.
“This is a shameful moment in American history. Five or six Democrat-controlled major cities greenlighted fraud and changed outcomes. Trump won Nevada by a wide margin, and I believe these same dirty deeds occurred in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, essentially disenfranchising 73.3 million Americans. This is a civil rights emergency. If we don’t immediately expose the fraud, America will never accept this election,” he added.
Indiana Senator Mike Braun also commented on the issue, saying that he believes there was fraud in many Democrat cities, and if states refuse to investigate the allegations, the American people may lose their faith in the voting system.
