Recently, the Iran-backed Houthis made a shockingly bold move against Israel by hijacking an Israel-linked cargo ship. The crew consisted of 25 members of various nationalities, including Bulgarian, Filipino, Mexican and Ukrainian, however, no Israelis were on board at the time.
Now, these crew members have been taken as hostages and flown to an unknown location. This raid has sparked global tension as it is believed that this is in retaliation for Israel’s campaign against Gaza’s Hamas rulers.
The group warned that they would continue their assault against ships owned or affiliated with Israel until the end of their campaign against Hamas rulers in Gaza.

The Galaxy Leader is a Bahamian-flagged vehicle carrying ship affiliated with an Israeli billionaire. Video footage of the raid shows a helicopter landing on top deck of the ship with six militants quickly streaming out and taking hostages from the bridge.
The militant inside the empty cargo hold shouted “For the sake of Gaza” and “Allahu Akbar!” which translates to “God is most great!” The US Navy has since stationed multiple warships in Red Sea southwest of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia after reports that they shot down drones and cruise missiles originating from Yemen.
This is just another example of how far Iran-backed forces are willing to go in order to fight for their cause.

This bold move by Yemen’s Houthi rebels has caused many to worry about what will come next as tensions between these two countries continue to rise. Despite ownership details claiming that Ray Car Carriers was founded by Abraham ‘Rami’ Ungar – one of Israel’s richest men – he declined to comment until further details are revealed.
Although no Israelis were on board at time of raid, it still appears as though this may be retaliatory action for what happened in Gaza – prompting US officials to take action before any more damage can be done.
