In an interview with Steve Bannon on December 22, Rudy Giuliani discussed the election and actions being taken to fight fraudulent votes and irregularities that led to Joe Biden‘s “victory.”
According to Rudy Giuliani, the Arizona legislature will attempt to pass a resolution certifying President Trump as the winner of the election in the state.
Giuliani told Bannon that Arizona “was going to pass a resolution demanding a joint session to certify Trump, but then they didn’t get to vote so they’re gonna come back again tomorrow. Hopefully, this will help push them… So what this would do is, it would force the lower house to vote on this same resolution. The lower house is largely Republican.”
“It’s not one of those things you call ‘dead on arrival’ in the lower house, in fact its a real possibility that they could pass this,” Giuliani added.
The news of this bold move spread like wildfire, but many are concerned that there are not enough votes to achieve this. Giuliani is hopeful that lawmakers will get it done before Christmas.
As per the Constitution, the state legislatures are the governing body that is supposed to certify and appoint electors to the Electoral College. Despite this, Democrat governors have taken this role on for themselves. If the Arizona state legislature is able to certify the election results for President Trump, that may be a catalyst for other state legislatures to do the same.
The attorney also discussed the Georgia presidential election, saying that big news is coming.
“I happen to know that we have one or two — my fingers crossed — big revelations in Georgia within the next day or two with regard to the machines… Maybe a little more additional information about the fraud and the cheating would be enough to push this over the top,” Giuliani said.
