Ohio AG Announces Response To Influx Of Haitian Illegal Aliens

State AG Makes HUGE Announcement

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) has announced that his office is investigating ways to stop the massive influx of Haitian illegal aliens that have been causing serious problems for at least one small town in his state.

Yost announced that he has directed officials to initiate a review of ways to stop the Biden-Harris administration’s massive relocation of illegal aliens to Ohio communities — citing the small town of Springfield, Ohio, which was flooded with roughly 20,000 Haitian illegal aliens over the last few years, despite having a population of less than 60,000 residents. This has led to a myriad of serious problems, including fatal car accidents caused by unlicensed drivers, rising violent crime, and an increase in property theft.

“This is absurd — Springfield has swollen by more than a third due to migrants,” Yost explained in a press release. “How many people can they be expected to take? What are the limits to the federal government’s power? Could the federal government simply funnel into Ohio all the millions of migrants flooding in under the current administration’s watch?”

“There’s got to be a limiting principle,” the attorney general added. “We’re going to find a way to get this disaster in front of a federal judge.”

The attorney general’s office also explained that the skyrocketing number of illegal aliens flooding Springfield has seriously hindered the abilities of public and private entities to provide for the actual Americans that live in the town.

“The problem is not migrants, it is way, way too many migrants in a short period of time,” Yost added. “The problem is a massive increase in the population without any communication or assistance from the federal government.”

Yost’s office went on to cite complaints from Springfield residents about the illegal aliens “causing car crashes, stealing property – including livestock, squatting in homes and killing wildlife for food.”

He specifically blamed the federal government’s open border policies, arguing that they are devastating his state and causing a serious decline in the quality of life of Ohio residents.

“Ohio is a great place to work and live,” Yost said. “But overwhelming our small towns with massive migrant populations without any coordination or assistance from the federal government is changing that in front of our eyes.”

This news comes after a recent city council meeting in Springfield during which several local residents complained about the devastating effects that the Haitian illegal aliens have had on their town — with many expressing that they have begun fearing for their safety.

“These Haitians are running into trash cans. They’re running into buildings,” one resident told the city council. “They’re flipping cars in the middle of the street, and I don’t know how, like, y’all can be comfortable with this.”

Other residents who showed up to the city council meeting pointed out that these illegal aliens have been setting up camp on the streets, screaming at residents, and throwing their trash on private property.

“It is so unsafe,” one resident said. “Look at me, I weigh 95 pounds. I couldn’t defend myself if I had to ‘pack up and move.’”

“It’s killing both of us mentally,” she added. “I don’t understand what you expect of us as citizens. … Who’s protecting me? I want out of this town. I am sorry. Please give me a reason to stay.”
