The ongoing crisis in Afghanistan has taken on a new dimension that completely changes its’ character from a bungled evacuation to a straight-up hostage situation with American citizens in the crosshairs.
Most disturbingly, new reports have revealed that private rescue efforts to evacuate American citizens from Afghanistan have been halted by not only the Taliban but by the Biden-Harris Administration as well. There is a game of brinksmanship being played by a group of inept Washington functionaries led by a dotard and a murderous regime of Islamofascist terrorists. As always it remains unclear how much of what we’re seeing is incompetence and how much is maliciousness.
The confused stories coming out of Afghanistan are centered around six aircraft on the apron at Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport in Northern Afghanistan with approximately 1,000 people waiting for flight clearance.
According to Congressman Mike McCaul (R-TX) and other sources the Taliban and holding up the flights, but according to The Daily Wire and now Reuters, it is the State Department that is holding things up.
First Reports showed The Taliban Holding The Flights
“We have six airplanes at Mazar Sharif Airport — six airplanes with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters — and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands right now. The state has cleared these flights and the Taliban will not let them leave the airport,” Texas Rep. Mike McCaul (R) Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee told Fox News. “They’ve sat at the airport for the last couple of days, these planes, and they’re not allowed to leave. We know the reason why is because the Taliban want something in exchange,”
“This is really … turning into a hostage situation where they’re not going to allow American citizens to leave until they get full recognition from the United States of America.”
“My concern is that [Zalmay] Khalilzad, our special envoy who’s met with the Taliban — they’re in talks right now, and I worry his recommendation to the administration will be to recognize the Taliban,” he said.
I don’t blame the intelligence community. I don’t blame the military. They did their jobs. I blame @StateDept, and I blame @POTUS for the crisis in Afghanistan. Biden ignored intel that told him Afghanistan would fall quickly. He is to blame. pic.twitter.com/ghqDXSCrHp

Hostage of Incompetence or Malice
Conversely, as The Daily Wire reported, Rick Clay who runs the private rescue group ‘PlanB’ told Fox,
“The State Department is the only thing preventing the flights he’s organizing from leaving Afghanistan,” Fox News reported. “Two other American individuals separately involved in evacuation efforts, whom Fox News is not naming to avoid jeopardizing ongoing rescue efforts, similarly said that the State Department is the sole entity preventing their charter flights from leaving Afghanistan.”
“If one life is lost as a result of this, the blood is on the White House’s hands. The blood is on their hands,” that individual said. “It is not the Taliban that is holding this up – as much as it sickens me to say that – it is the United States government.”

Congressman Mike Walz wrote to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken regarding the aircraft of multiple Non-Governmental Organizations that were “available, funded, and ready to fly” and awaiting only the State Department’s clearances. According to Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas, “They need @SecBlinken to help get clearance to land in a nearby country. Biden’s State Department is refusing to actively assist. Their response: ‘Just tell them to ask.’ The information coming from the disastrous wreckage of the Biden-Harris regime’s catastrophic blunder is incomplete and contradictory. Are the Americans and Afghans trapped being held hostage by the Taliban who are holding out for diplomatic recognition? Or by the Biden White House, embarrassed and vindictive that private organizations are cleaning up their mess? Or are they both true?
