Obama-Era Ban is Back… Conservatives HORRIFIED

Climate activists are walking around with a big smile on their face.

This is because they are one step closer to ending the coal industry as a whole.

With a few keyboard strokes, an activist judge took about $400 million away from the industry while also assuring many Americans of even higher energy prices.

Crush Them

When Obama was in office, he banned coal leasing on federal lands.

That was lifted when Trump was in office, but it is now back in effect.

To justify his decision, the presiding judge stated that when Trump removed the ban, the court did not take into account the effect this lifting would have on the environment.

Now, last time I checked, judges should only be concerned with the law, not activist narratives.

About half the coal mined and used in this country comes from federal leases, so this is crushing, not only to the industry but also to Americans and their energy bills.

If your energy suppliers use coal, those costs are going to skyrocket.

Instead of crushing the industry and killing jobs, why not work with the industry to continue improvements in clean coal production?

National Mining Association President Rich Nolan said the decision would be appealed.

He added, “This is a deeply disappointing decision with energy-driven inflation, energy affordability and energy security top concerns for Americans.

“Denying access to affordable, secure energy during an energy affordability crisis is deeply troubling.”
