Things are not looking good for Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake.
The failed gubernatorial candidate has the endorsement of Donald Trump in her Senate campaign, but she will not have the endorsement of one of Trump’s biggest backers in the state.
The ADA has decided to endorse Ruben Gallego, her Democrat opponent.

Lake needs a boost in this race, but she will not get it from the Arizona Police Association (APA), which has already endorsed Trump.
The fact of the matter is that Lake is just not very popular in Arizona, a state which is and has always been a bit more on the moderate side.
Her big swing to the right played great for MAGA support, but that is not enough to get her elected in Arizona, and now she is going to cost us a very important Senate seat.
In announcing its support of Gallego, the APA stated, “Congressman Gallego has continually fought for robust, increased funding for America’s Law Enforcement, and specifically Arizona Law enforcement.”
Gallego was obviously happy to get the endorsement, stating, “I am proud to have the APA’s support and look forward to working with them in the Senate to ensure Arizona’s law enforcement officers have the resources necessary to combat fentanyl trafficking, train the next generation of officers, and, above all, keep Arizona families safe.”
Lake is down about 10 points in the race right now, and that is a big number to try to make up without law enforcement support and only two months to go before the election.
This is a seat that Republicans were counting on, and now it is lost.
In an election where the GOP is doing everything it can to take back the Senate, this is an absolutely crushing blow.
With Trump now behind in the general election, our hopes of blocking Democrats could rest on holding the House, and that is far from certain
