Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has a harsh warning for current and prospective illegal aliens: you will be “hunted down and deported” if you come here, so “don’t even think about it.”
In a post on social media, Noem announced that the DHS would be funding “a nationwide and international multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to leave our country NOW or face deportation with the inability to return to the US.”
The advertisements will also be sent to the international community to warn those who plan to try to illegally enter the United States.
“This serves as a strong warning to criminal illegal aliens to not come to America. If they do, they will be hunted down and deported. Thank you [President Donald Trump] for securing our border and putting America first,” Noem added.
The post also included a video of Noem speaking the blunt truth, which began: “Let me deliver a message from President Trump to the world. If you are considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it. Let me be clear. If you come to our country and you break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States. For too long, weak leadership has left our borders wide open, flooding our communities with drugs, human trafficking, and violent criminals.”
“Well, those days are over,” the DHS secretary stated. “Under President Trump, we are defending American families and restoring their safety. If you try to enter illegally, you will be caught, you will be removed and you will never return. Follow the law and you’ll find opportunity. If you break it, you’ll find consequences. Strong borders mean a stronger America. President Trump is making America safe again.”

According to a statement from the DHS, the advertisement campaign will be running on several different mediums and will be sent to numerous foreign countries.
“This series of ads will run on radio, broadcast, and digital, in multiple countries and regions in various dialects. Ads will be hyper-targeted, including through social media, text message and digital to reach illegal immigrants in the interior of the United States, as well as internationally,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, there has been a historically massive decline in illegal border crossings under the Trump administration. Border czar Tom Homan highlighted the statistics in a post on X on February 17, writing: “In the last 24 hours the US Border Patrol has encountered a total of 229 aliens across the entire southwest border. That is down from a high of over 11,000 a day under Biden. I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don’t remember the numbers ever being that low. President Trump promised a secure border and he is delivering.”
