During an interview over the weekend, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made a bizarre suggestion — claiming that President Joe Biden deserves to have his face added to Mount Rushmore.
Biden has presided over a failing economy with skyrocketing inflation, a crime wave, an invasion at the southern border, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that left 13 American soldiers dead, weaponization of the federal government against his political opponents and a Secret Service failure that led to his political opponent being shot. He has also displayed clear cognitive decline throughout his presidency that has left many Americans questioning whether he has actually been in charge at all — especially because he recently ended his reelection bid due to his health, which was also a scandal considering that it was conveniently timed to prevent the democratic process from being used to pick his replacement.
Ignoring all of this, Pelosi believes that Biden has been “such a consequential president” that he deserves to be memorialized alongside former Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
The former Speaker of the House made the bizarre suggestion during an interview on CBS News’ “Sunday Morning” with leftist host Leslie Stahl.
“So he was in a good place to make whatever decision, at the top of his game,” Pelosi claimed, referring to Biden’s decision to end his reelection bid, which reportedly came as the result of Pelosi’s meddling behind the scenes.
“Such a consequential president of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States,” she added.
The suggestion was so shocking that even Stahl, who has been an ardent defender of Biden throughout his presidency, had to check whether Pelosi was actually being serious.
“Lincoln and Joe Biden?” the CBS host asked.
“But you’ve got Teddy Roosevelt up there and he’s wonderful,” Pelosi responded. “I don’t say take him down, but you can add Biden.”
Pelosi was ruthlessly mocked on social media for the suggestion, with the official RNC Research X account declaring that “Crazy Nancy’s delusions have reached a new level.”

The suggestion was so shocking that it garnered a response from the governor of the state where Mount Rushmore stands, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R).
“Sorry Nancy, Mount Rushmore is not a place to celebrate someone who lied about his mental decline, willfully and knowingly endangered the lives of the American people, crushed American families, undermined the Constitution, and weakened our country at home and abroad,” Noem wrote. “Joe Biden’s 4 years as President — with Kamala Harris being part of those radical policies and countless failures — will go down as the worst in American history.”

The suggestion also led to the creation of many memes, including a photo of Biden added to Mount Rushmore facing backwards, a likely reference to his awkward moments during various events where Biden was lost on stage.
