Mainstream media outlets are blatantly lying while promoting a new endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming that she was endorsed by a “leading” police group that “normally backs Trump.”
This is an egregious lie because the group, Police Leaders for Community Safety, has never backed former President Donald Trump — as it was created roughly four months ago in June 2024.
The first outlet to report on the endorsement was Fox News, which added to the lies — claiming that the organization was a “leading law enforcement group,” despite the fact that it is just a few months old.
The lie about the group previously supporting Trump originated from a New Jersey news outlet, which published an article with the headline: “Harris gets stunning endorsement from group that normally backs Trump.”
This is an insane example of media propaganda on full display.

The group is made up of mostly retired police chiefs and sheriffs, according to a statement given to Spectrum News in June. However, despite being a police group, the group’s main focus is not on police-related issues. Instead, the group’s focus is gun control — proving that it is in fact a leftist group.
Despite this fact, the group claims to include members of all party affiliations and describes itself as a nonpartisan group that supports “policies to make communities and the people in them safer, improve and evolve policing, and safeguard the rule of law,” according to Fox News.
One of the 50 nationally recognized police leaders selected to join the group is former Rochester Police Chief Cynthia Herriot, who resigned from her position less than one year into her tenure after overseeing several controversial police decisions.
Shocking allegations about this endorsement have emerged, with some analysts asserting that the group was specifically created to endorse Harris and trick voters into thinking that Harris, who has made anti-police statements in the past, was actually pro-law enforcement.
The official X account for Futurist explained: “Harris knew she wouldn’t get the police to endorse her, so a NEW police group was created and launched June 2024 called: Police Leaders for Community Safety, which just endorsed Harris.”
The post went on to note that the group’s vice chair is retired police chief Rick Myers, who purposely avoided listing his actual background on the group’s website — he’s “a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar,” according to Futurist. It makes sense that the only supposed “law enforcement” group to endorse Harris would be run by an FBI stooge, considering the fact that the bureau has targeted Trump under her leadership.
Futurist went on to explain that there are several more individuals with “FBI backgrounds” on the group’s list.
“Susan Riseling, President and Founder of The Riseling Group, is also Chair of the Police Leaders for Community Safety. Click the link for a list of staff below and you will find more FBI backgrounds among their leadership. This is a law enforcement ops to create a last minute false endorsement of Harris. Why hasn’t the media shared any of this public information?” the post concluded.

It is far from shocking that this radical group endorsed Harris. Meanwhile, actual police organizations like the National Fraternal Order of Police, which has roughly 377,000 members, have endorsed Trump.
Predictably, this organization of actual law enforcement officers voted overwhelmingly to endorse Trump, with FOP National President Patrick Yoes explaining that there was “no doubt—zero doubt—as to who they want as our President for the next four years: Donald J. Trump.”
“During his first term, President Trump made it clear he supported law enforcement and border security,” Yoes said. “In the summer of 2020, he stood with us when very few would. With his help, we defeated the ‘defund the police’ movement and, finally, we are seeing crime rates decrease. If we want to maintain these lower crime rates, we must re-elect Donald Trump.”
