Political commentator Megyn Kelly ripped into the mainstream media for ignoring the bombshell allegations of domestic violence against Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Several of the alleged victim’s friends have come forward to The Daily Mail to accuse him of hitting her. The incident reportedly began when the victim — identified only as “Jane,” a New York lawyer Emhoff had been dating for approximately three months — was speaking to a valet to get her car after leaving the May 2012 Cannes Film Festival in France. She apparently put her hand on the valet’s shoulder while talking to him, allegedly prompting Emhoff to believe that she was flirting with the valet. He then grabbed her and forcefully turned her around before hitting her in the face. She reportedly tried to leave in her own vehicle without him, but he forced himself into the car.
A friend who was told about the incident by Jane spoke to the outlet about the assault, stating: “She put her hand on the valet’s shoulder, and as she was talking to him, Doug comes up. She said he turned her around by her right shoulder, and she was completely caught off guard. He hauled up and slapped her so hard she spun around. She said she was in utter shock.”
The first person Jane told about the incident was a male friend only identified by The Daily Mail as a top New York businessman, who Jane reportedly called moments after the assault.
“It was hard to hear her because she was sobbing. She told me she was with a guy and he hit her,” he told the outlet. “It was very clear what she was telling me. She said she was with a guy, her date, she was at the Cannes Film Festival, and he hit her. She was in the car with the guy at the time.”
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly called out the mainstream media for refusing to report on these shocking allegations.
“Look, people have marital problems, and they make bad decisions when they’re married to people that they don’t love. However, banging your child’s nanny and impregnating her is in a special league of its own,” she said, referring to other allegations against Emhoff. It has been confirmed that Emhoff did sleep with his child’s nanny, though the pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage have not yet been confirmed.
“I think most of us would have left it alone if he hadn’t then paraded himself out there and let the media parade himself out there like he was the ideal husband on steroids, like he is the new version of what it means to be a real man … and should really be the role model for my boys and yours,” Kelly continued. “F that. I want my boys to be like my husband, who did not bang the nanny, nor impregnate another woman while married to me, or ever. It’s just insane that they tried to sell us this lie.”
Kelly then played a cringe-worthy clip of former White House press secretary Jen Psaki interviewing Emhoff on her MSNBC show, where she bizarrely declared that Emhoff had “reshaped the perception of masculinity.”

She went on to highlight the Daily Mail’s bombshell report, noting that Emhoff “actually smacked an ex-girlfriend in the face, either a smack or a punch. That this super guy who’s redefined toxic masculinity actually beat a woman that he was dating prior to Kamala.”
“The Daily Mail reports that he did not respond to requests for comment on the article,” Kelly continued. “What does that mean? There’s not even going to be a denial? I guess they’ll get around to it, just an allegation right now, but let me tell you, take some time today to read that Daily Mail report, because it’s incredibly detailed with several friends of the very successful attorney that he was dating, his alleged victim, going to the Daily Mail, providing records to the Daily Mail, speaking in great detail about the call that the abuse victim alleged [sic] made to them after he smacked her in front of other people, in front of French valets over there in Cannes, France.”
Kelly concluded the segment by stating that she hoped Psaki “wasn’t aware of” the shocking allegations against Emhoff at the time of the interview.
“I’m sorry, if this were a Republican, it would be leading every news channel,” she pointed out.
