Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows spoke on Fox News about the Joe Biden regime’s disastrous effect on the United States.
Executive Orders: Immigration
Before Meadows spoke, Brian Kilmeade, co-host of the show Fox & Friends, discussed a federal judge blocking one of Biden’s executive orders on immigration.
In his ruling, Judge Drew Tipton wrote that the administration “fails to consider potential policies more limited in scope and time, but it also fails to provide any concrete, reasonable justification for a 100 day pause on deportations.”
“The Biden administration has been setting records in their executive orders, with some 37 record executive orders here in the first six days. But the judge got it right, it’s not really well thought through,” Meadows stated.
“President Trump put America first. What we’re seeing is that President Biden is putting America last. Whether it’s our border policy, or any of the other executive orders that he’s putting forth, it’s gonna have a really chilling effect on jobs.
Democrat Policies Directly Harm the Average American
“What’s your message to the folks now in Washington? Is this gonna backfire, or is America gonna love this?” Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked Meadows.
“Well, I think it is gonna backfire because it’s actually going to effect wages on Main Street America. When we start to look at it, you know, they’re talking about increasing the federal minimum wage,” Meadows said, referring to the Democrats’ push to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr.
Mark Meadows then compares the Democrats’ plan to artificially inflate wages through government mandate to the previous administration’s ability to raise wages naturally through good policy. “Under President Trump, we know that his policies actually increased wages, perhaps by the largest amount that we’ve seen in decades,” he asserted.
Democrats fail to see the impact of artificially raising wages, which may include higher prices for goods and services, job losses due to businesses being unable to pay these wages, destruction of small businesses, and automation taking the place of minimum wage workers.
“Unity”
The former White House chief of staff then goes on to discuss Democrats’ hypocrisy surrounding their calls for unity under Biden while actively attacking their political opponents.
“We’re seeing that their first legislative priority in Congress is impeachment, I don’t know how that unifies America. We need to be about creating jobs and making sure we put people back to work,” Mark Meadows said.
