You have to feel just a bit for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The guy just can’t catch a break in this election.
After starting off like wildfire, his campaign has gone steadily downhill, and now this.
Sorry, Junior
Kennedy was dealt a critical blow this week in court.
A judge in New York ruled that he used a bogus address on his petition to be on the ballot in New York.
The address he used is a room that he allegedly rents for $500 per month, but he has only stayed there one time, according to his landlord.
The judge stated, “Given the size and appearance of the spare bedroom as shown in the photographs admitted into evidence, the Court finds Kennedy’s testimony that he may return to that bedroom to reside with his wife, family members, multiple pets, and all of his personal belongings to be highly improbable, if not preposterous.”
Kennedy plans on appealing the decision, and with the way the courts are these days, it is hard to say if he will be denied again or win.
He stated, “They aren’t confident they can win at the ballot box, so they are trying to stop voters from having a choice.
“We will appeal, and we will win.”
The funny thing about this is that Kennedy’s campaign was being fought by New York Democrats because Kennedy was hurting Biden more than Trump, with Trump getting the number into single digits and putting New York into play for the first time in decades.
Harris, however, has an 11% lead right out of the gate, so Kennedy appears to be hurting Trump more in that state.
Rumors have been flying that Kennedy is selling his endorsement for a cabinet position, but after the report surfaced, he denied that was the case.
Lying is habit for politicians, though, so let’s see how all this plays out in the coming weeks.
