For years, Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) has been teased as a possible Republican recruit.
I have always warned against this because I know what Joe really is, and that would be a fraud.
He puts up a fight for headlines, but far more often than not, he is a yes man for the Democrat Party.
Break It Down
The Republican Party has true moderates.
By that I mean their voting records are only slightly tilted in favor of the GOP.
For instance, someone like Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), who votes with leadership about 60 percent of the time.
Senator Murkowski (R-AK) is another one, who votes with leadership almost 70 percent of the time.
I don’t like either of them, but as long as they represent their constituents’ will, that is all that really matters.
Joe Manchin is often considered more extreme than either of them, but guess what… he votes with leadership more than 90 percent of the time!
Just as I have always said and warned against… eventually he folds and sides with Democrat leadership.
The man is a snake in the grass, and not to be trusted.
Here is another little fun fact about Manchin… he does not represent West Virginians.
He just proved that with the bill he wrote with Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.), which pushes green energy even though Manchin represents fossil fuel country.
Why would he do that? Well, that is because virtually all of Manchin’s money comes from outside the state.
A mere one percent of his individual donor money came from West Virginians… that’s it.
Of the $6.1 million he has raised since January 2021, only $65,000 came from in-state.
Again, this is why outside money needs to be banned.
He is a perfect example of voters pulling the handle for name recognition over substance.
If the people of West Virginia paid attention to what Manchin does over what he pretends to do, they would run him out of office in a heartbeat.
But hey, he already has a yacht, so what does he care?
