After the ousting of ex-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Republicans have been in a panic trying to figure out who will be taking his place. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan appears to be a frontrunner and recently announced what his first move would be if he were to become the next Speaker.

The House of Representatives has recently seen a shift in power, with Jim Jordan throwing his hat into the ring as the next Speaker of the House. While many members are focused on what this means for their own careers, it was recently announced that one of Jordan’s first official acts will be to ensure that Israel has all it needs in its war against Hamas.

When asked what his first directive would be as speaker, he responded by saying “To help the state of Israel”. During an interview with Sunday Morning Futures anchor Maria Bartiromo, he discussed how there will be a resolution on the floor to support the State of Israel and they will work closely with both The White House and The State Department.

He expressed a sense of urgency to help our ally given their current situation, stating “We need to give Israel the time, the space, the resources so they can win…and send a message to these evil people who did this”.

He went on to explain how there is a special bond between The United States and Israel which needs to continue and be strengthened moving forward. After discussing his plans for helping our ally, he then turned his attention back towards home by talking about his candidacy for Speaker and why he believes he is best suited for leading The House Of Representatives in their fight against crime in the streets, illegal immigration, rising food prices and gas costs.

He believes that Americans are hungry for leadership which cannot be provided by The White House or Senate alone but must come from within their own party uniting together in order to fight for them.

Jordan ended by expressing his plan regarding government funding when current continuing resolution ends soon, outlining how they must have 218 votes from Republicans before walking out from any meeting related to this issue next week due November 17th when funding bills come due.
