Iranian Official Threatens U.S. on American Soil

As tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate at a rapid pace, Iran has issued a threat against the United States if Israel’s war against Hamas continues. Sadly, this is a scenario we need to take very seriously as two US carrier strike groups have been sent to the Middle East while American military forces in the area remain on high alert.

On Thursday, October 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian addressed the United Nations General Assembly with an alarming warning for American statesmen: “I warn if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire.” He also accused the US and Israel of “genocide” and called for immediate humanitarian aid to be provided for those suffering in Gaza.

It is believed that Iran armed and trained 500 Hamas militants prior to their surprise attack against Israeli civilians on October 7th—a fact which demands our attention as a nation.

Drones were used by Hamas during their October attack—an example of advanced technology employed by terrorist organizations that cannot help but raise alarm bells throughout Washington. The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that some of these militants had received specialized combat training from within Iran itself—training which included practice using drones, surveillance equipment, motorcycles, and paragliders.

These are all weapons which would be difficult to train with inside Gaza due its size; thus it appears there was substantial outside support involved here from a nation determined to cause chaos throughout the region at any cost.

Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida spoke out after news of Amirabdollahian’s address broke; he demanded President Joe Biden revoke his visa immediately: “He is not welcome in America…the United States cannot tolerate threats to our nation from terror-sponsors.” This sentiment clearly reflects America’s attitude towards such aggression however it does not seem enough when it comes down to stopping terrorism before it starts or preventing another regional conflict like what happened last month between Israel and Hamas.

Since then Israel has responded by targeting those responsible within Gaza; however there have been reports that militants backed by Iran launched attacks against Israeli citizens from Syria and Lebanon as well—showing just how far these terrorists will go when they feel they have backing from foreign nations.
