It has been three months since Oscar-winning actor and singer Jamie Foxx was hospitalized due to a mysterious medical condition.
During this time, speculation regarding the nature of his illness ran rampant, with reports suggesting he had suffered a blood clot in his brain after receiving the experimental COVID vaccine.
On Friday night, Foxx released an emotional Instagram video in which he addressed these rumors and thanked the people who supported him through his recovery.
Hollywood journalist A.J. Benza reported that following Foxx’s vaccine administration, he had suffered partial paralysis and blindness among other complications.
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson also weighed in on the situation during an interview with Patrick Bet-David saying “they said he (Foxx) had a stroke.”
These speculations were initially sparked by Foxx’s hospitalization during a film shoot with Cameron Diaz earlier this year.
In his Instagram video, Jamie Foxx clarified some of the rumors surrounding his condition while expressing gratitude for those who showed their support during such a difficult time.
He mentioned that although many believed he was blind or paralyzed from his ordeal, neither was true – however it was still a scary experience for him as “I went through something I thought I would never ever go through.”
Additionally, because of how serious it was, Jamie wanted to keep all details away from public view so nobody could see him like that – but fortunately he now feels much better and ready to be seen again.
He thanked both family members like sister Deidre Dixon as well as medical professionals involved in his care for helping save him life – but ultimately emphasized how thankful he is for all those that sent prayers and messages during this trying time – showing just how far they took him towards recovery.
At the end of it all Jamie wants everyone to remember him for what makes him great: laughter, films & music – not illness.
