Illegal Alien R*pes Woman Just Days After Being Freed From Jail

A career criminal illegal alien has been arrested for rape just four days after being released from jail in Fairfax County, Virginia.

In October, the Herndon Police Department arrested 31-year-old Honduran illegal alien Denis Humberto Navarette Romero for exposing himself to a woman on a jogging trail. He reportedly approached the victim Jennifer Pugh, on the trail and tried to grab her dog. Romero, who was speaking only Spanish, then went after the woman and exposed himself to her. He was sentenced to 50 days in the Fairfax County Jail for indecent exposure and served only 25 days before being released back into the community, rather than being turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation.

Just four days after being released, police arrested Romero and charged him with raping a woman on the Washington & Old Dominion Trail — the same trail where he had previously exposed himself.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) has spoken out about this shocking news, confirming that Virginia was not a sanctuary jurisdiction and slamming Fairfax County officials for protecting illegal aliens over their citizens.

“I am heartsick for this victim and outraged that local Fairfax County officials recklessly release violent illegal immigrants who should have been prosecuted and deported,” Youngkin wrote, adding: “This is a dereliction of their most basic duty to keep people safe. Prioritizing violent illegal immigrants over the safety of Fairfax residents is unacceptable. Virginia is not a sanctuary state. When President Trump takes office, the political posturing will end, and localities will cooperate with ICE to protect Virginians.”

Romero — who is homeless, receives taxpayer-funded assistance, and has severe mental health and substance abuse issues — has a long history of sexual crimes against women and even children, yet he has still been allowed to stay in the United States under the Biden-Harris administration and Fairfax County’s pro-illegal immigration policies.

According to the Washington Post, “The Herndon Police Department’s first documented interest in him came in 2018, reports released in response to an open-records request show. The agency received a report that year saying he had fondled a 14-year-old. When a Fairfax County sex crimes detective investigated, the officer was told that Navarette Romero had exposed himself to a 13-year-old and 10-year-old a year before, according to the police report. A parent of those children said the incident went unreported because the family ‘did not want any problems.’ Ultimately, police wrote, their attempts to speak with the people involved were met with resistance. They closed the investigation and Navarette Romero faced no charges.”

In June 2022, Romero reportedly choked a Herndon police officer who responded to a report of groping. He initially faced a strong charge of felony assault on a law enforcement officer, but it was later downgraded to misdemeanor simple assault.

In any of these instances, if the government had done its job, Romero should have been deported, and his future victims would have been protected from the horrific crimes he committed. Unfortunately, Democrats chose to ignore the law and are directly responsible for his crimes.

Romero is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, though it is still unclear if he will ever be turned over to ICE.
