If the vaccines work so well, why did twenty seven fully vaccinated people aboard a Carnival cruise test positive for COVID in the middle of their trip?
According to the Belize Tourism Board, twenty seven people on the Carnival cruise tested positive for the coronavirus just before the ship stopped in Belize City.
The statement from the tourism board indicates that the positive cases included twenty six crew members and one passenger — among a total of 1,400 crew members and approximately 3,000 passengers — on the Carnival Vista.
All twenty seven people were vaccinated, and had mild to no symptoms. They were immediately isolated.
On the Carnival Vista ship, 99.98 percent of the crew is vaccinated, as well as 96.5 percent of passengers.
The ship originally departed from Galveston, Texas for its current trip. Carnival has required all passengers to be vaccinated, with limited exceptions for children and individuals with medical issues. The cruise line has also made masks mandatory in certain indoor areas, and required passengers to provide a negative COVID test within three days before the cruises depart, starting August 14th.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on its website that the agency had investigated the Carnival Vista, noting that the ship remains under observation.
Of course, the CDC and the COVID hysterics have yet to come up with an explanation for how these stories keep coming out. If the vaccines truly work as they are supposed to, there shouldn’t be so many instances of large groups of fully vaccinated individuals catching the virus.
