Authorities arrested Marcelin immediately after the shocking discovery of a limbless and headless torso. The dismembered torso was apparently located stuffed in a multi-colored bag with a blossom decal inside a shopping cart in East New York, the New York Daily News reported. A security cam purportedly captured Marcelin getting rid of the upper body.
Authorities performed a search warrant at Marcelin’s home where they found a human head believed to come from 68-year-old target Susan Leyden, prosecutors claimed.
“[Leyden] never exits the residence,” court papers note.
A surveillance video showed Leyden holding the very same vibrant bag while entering Marcelin’s building on Feb. 27. Authorities assessed video from Marcelin’s building and saw that the convicted killer was utilizing the same bag on March 2, and also transferred it in the nearby garbage.
On Monday, cops found a severed human leg inside a parked vehicle in Cypress Hills– approximately 2 miles from where the torso was uncovered, according to WCBS-TV. Authorities think the leg comes from Leyden.”Detectives believe he made use of a saw to dismember a woman’s body, ”

Marcelin was sentenced to twenty years to life in jail and was released on lifetime parole in 1984, according to records. Less than a year after being released from jail, Marcelin presumably stabbed one more girlfriend to death and also discarded her remains near Central Park. Marcelin was found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree as well as sentenced to a minimum of 12 years behind bars. Marcelin was released again from the Cayuga Reformatory in August 2019, according to the New York Department of Corrections database. At a State Parole Board interview in August 1997, the transgender convicted serial killer admitted to having”problems” with women.
