1,428 Highly Educated Citizens Fired for Wanting Freedom

The City of New York, ostensibly under new leadership with Mayor Eric Adams has shown that it is taking the same lock-step approach as the rest of their state and other Democrat-controlled cities around the nation, and has ruthlessly fired 1,428 hard-working city employees, who refused to surrender their bodily autonomy to forcible government coercion, stripping them of their livelihoods.

Fired For Standing Their Ground Against A Tyrannical Mandate

Mayor Adams told the press in a Feb 14th statement (How’s that for a Valentines’ day card? ‘You’re fired’), that 1,428 workers who were already on unpaid leave were terminated for “failing to get a first dose of available vaccines” The vast majority of city employees who refused the vaccine mandate were the 914 within the Department of Education, 101 worked for the city Housing Authority and thirty-six worked for the NYPD forty were with the Sanitation Department.

“Our goal was always to vaccinate, not terminate, and city workers stepped up and met the goal placed before them,” Mr Adams said in a statement on Monday.

According to The Independent, “Under the requirements, which were put in place by former Mayor Bill de Blasio and kept in place by Mr Adams, all city employees must have received at least one dose, while new hires must have received at least two doses for vaccine schedules that require a second jab.”

Over two-dozen unions including the Police Benevolent Association, the United Federation of Teachers, and the Uniformed Fire Officers Association launched a lawsuit against the city to stop the firings on Feb. 11th, however, a New York Judge ruled against them and the United States Supreme Court declined to hear the case at the order of  Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor who declined the application with no explanation.

Mainstream media outlets have continued to downplay the significance of this horrific authoritarian measure by reassuring readers and viewers that the 1,428 people “make up less than 1% of the city’s 370,000-member workforce.” and that “about 88 percent of the New York City Police Department and corrections workers” have had at least one dose. But none of that takes away the tragedy and injustice of 1,428 families who don’t know where the next paycheck is coming from… or if one will come. 1,428 families may now become homeless and destitute, all because they were given an impossible choice and chose against the imposed will of the state. 1,428 families many with children who may now starve, because their parents were ordered to sacrifice their bodies to one of the most rushed, hastily-researched “vaccination” programs in history. None of that takes away the shame and foulness that Eric Adams imposed upon New York when he fired these people.
