For weeks, Republican members of Congress have been itching to get at FBI Director Wray.
Well, they just got their chance.
Wray was on the Hill this week to answer questions about several notable investigations that never happened.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was among those that pounced.
Blood in the Water
The FBI has aggressively gone after Donald Trump and conservatives in general over the last few years.
Yet, when it has come to liberals and Democrats, more specifically the Biden family, the FBI has just turned and looked away.
When it has actually done something, the result has been nothing more than a light rap on the knuckles.
Gaetz put the question to Wray directly, flat out asking him if he was protecting the Bidens.
This came immediately after Gaetz read the Hunter Biden WhatsApp message that sounded very much like a shakedown.
When Wray was asked to characterize that text, he would not answer, and that is when the fireworks started…
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who has suggested defunding the FBI, was also on the attack.
He stated, “This is the FBI that investigated moms and dads showing up at school board meetings, said they were part of some terrorist element out there.
“This is the FBI at the Richmond field office that put out a memorandum saying if you’re a pro-life Catholic you’re somehow radical.
“This is the FBI that spied on a presidential campaign, that raided the home of a former president.
“This is the FBI that was cited as… censoring American free speech rights.”
With Democrats still in control of the Senate, the sad reality is that Wray and the FBI are safe… for now.
