Amid the rise in anti-Semitism on the left, actor Michael Rapaport has slammed Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) for beclowning himself in an effort to win Vice President Kamala Harris’ VP nod — which ultimately did not work.
There was widespread speculation over the past two weeks that Harris would choose Shapiro as her running mate, especially because she planned to announce her pick officially in Shapiro’s home state of Pennsylvania. However, on Tuesday, Harris picked radical leftist Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her VP.
Many commentators believe that Harris was initially floating Shapiro as a running mate because he would help her win the key swing state of Pennsylvania, but as soon as the idea was floated, the radical anti-Israel and anti-Semitic activists within the Democrat Party lost their minds because he is Jewish and has previously supported Israel. As is common with Democrats, Shapiro immediately tried to flip-flop on the issue, backtracking on his own previous positions and trying to find a middle-ground on the issue — which would have appeased the pro-Israel voters within the party, but would never be enough for the anti-Israel faction.
As Breitbart News noted, “Shapiro, a young, attractive, moderate governor from a key swing state, was thought to be the top choice until anti-Israel voices within the Democratic Party objected to his pro-Israel views. Some believed the objections were also anti-Semitic: Shapiro’s views are not too different from those of Walz or other contenders, but he is Jewish, which attracted disproportionate suspicion and hostility from the most vociferously anti-Israel voices within the party base.”
Last week, Shapiro desperately tried to recant his previous pro-Israel views, claiming that they were the result of his naïve youth.

Unfortunately for Shapiro, that was not enough — as Harris chose Walz. Now, Shapiro is being called out by commentators on both sides of the aisle for his desperation.
In a video post on X, Rapaport pointed out that Shapiro is a perfect example of a Jewish person who sold himself out to the radical anti-Jew left.
“Josh Shapiro UNJEWED himself publicly & still didn’t get picked,” he wrote.
Rapaport also spoke out in the video about the “as a Jew” phenomenon, pointing out that no matter how much a Jewish person comes forward to say that “as a Jew” they disavow Israel and support Gaza, they will still be treated “as a Jew” if the “intifada” ever comes to the United States.

Rapaport was not the only one to mock Shapiro’s efforts, including Jewish-American lawyer Ron Coleman.

This isn’t the first time that Rapaport has attacked his fellow Democrats for their anti-Israel stances, as he has been an outspoken supporter of Israel for some time now, and his support only grew after the October 7 Hamas terror attacks in Israel. The Democrat actor has even gone so far as to consider voting for former President Donald Trump in November, even though he disagrees with him on a variety of other issues.
