Former President Donald Trump has turned up the heat on the campaign trail at a crucial stop for the 2022 midterm elections.
Trump has returned to the campaign trail, but this time its just to hype up “America First” candidates in their fights against the Democrats and establishment RINOs. His most recent stop was in the battleground state of Georgia to fight for election integrity.
Trump starts his GA rally by congratulating UGA for its win over Vandy today. Trump: “with your help, we’re going to take back the house and send Nancy Pelosi back to San Francisco”. Speaking about the 2020 election, Trump said it was “the most corrupt election in the history of the country.”
As for Georgia, the former president called for his supporters to oust Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who many conservatives say have done a poor job regarding the security of their state’s election.
“The people of Georgia must replace the RINOs and weak Republicans who made it all possible,” Trump said.
The former president has yet to pick a candidate to endorse Governor Kemp, but he has been trying to recruit former Sen. David Perdue to take on the challenge.
“Are you running for governor, David Perdue? Did I hear you’re running for governor?” Trump said.
He has endorsed Rep. Jody Hice as a GOP primary challenger against Raffensperger. The former president has also endorsed Herschel Walker, a former football star, who recently launched a Senate campaign in Georgia.
Walker, a longtime friend of Trump, gave his first campaign speech at Trump’s Georgia rally, and was met with thunderous applause from the large crowd, many of whom were wearing “Run Herschel Run” stickers.
